Flyball is a high-energy team sport in which dogs race the clock and each other to complete the course. Dogs work in a team of four to compete against other teams of four. SOTC flyball classes are taught using only positive training methods and positive reinforcement. Junior handlers must be 10 years or older. Please note that uncontrollable, disruptive or aggressive dogs will be dismissed or may be required to use a muzzle and practice away from other dogs.
Online registration and payment is required a minimum of ONE WEEK before the class start date. No registration on the first night of class is allowed. If the class does not have the minimum one week prior to the start date, it may be cancelled or rescheduled.
*Please note that there is a $25 charge for canceling your class registration. When we hold a spot for you in class, we incur the cost of teaching the class as well as administrative costs. Thank you for understanding.

Flyball
Class Fee: $105
Classes are 50-60 minutes long and meet once a week for 6 weeks
This class is designed for dogs of all levels. Topics include box turn work, dead ball retrieve, dead ball in box, learning jumps and building drive over jumps to/from the box. We will work drills to continue progress with a focus on safe box turns. Teams will work on the approach to the box and in full run for jumps for return to handler. Please bring your dog’s crate or plan to use one of SOTC’s crates as needed during the class. This class uses only positive training methods and positive reinforcement (no correction or punishment) and will include many training tips. Maximum class size is 6 dogs; minimum class size is 2 dogs.
