Upcoming Puppy Classes
SOTC loves puppies! In addition to offering 2 different age groups of puppy training, we are proud to offer the new Akc s.t.a.r. puppy program. before signing up for a puppy class, please make your choice based on the age of your puppy and don't forget to ask your instructor how your puppy can be a S.t.a.r. puppy!
Puppies are ideal candidates to teach and are eligible for class starting at 11 weeks of age and after 2 sets of vaccinations. All of our trained and experienced instructors use the “lure and reward” method of training. No chokers, prong, or shock collars are allowed. Classes are fun for students and their canine companions. Family members are welcome to watch and learn too.
New classses are continually being added. Please check the website.
Online registration and payment is required a minimum of ONE WEEK before the class start date. No registration on the first night of class is allowed.

*Please note that there will be a $25 charge for cancelling a class you register for. When we hold a spot for you in class, we incur the cost of teaching the class as well as administrative costs. Thank you for understanding.*

Class Fee $110
Classes are 50-60 minutes long and meet once a week for 6 weeks.
All motivational and positive methods are used in our puppy socialization class!
This class covers basic cues and problem prevention.
All training is done on a flat buckle collar.

Puppies attend all 6 weeks.
For puppies 11-15 weeks old on their first day of class.
**Please either bring documentation of the two sets of puppy shots to the first class or email a copy of them to Joni Corcoran. You will not be allowed to participate in the class if your puppy’s two sets of shots are not verified.**

Advanced Puppy/ Register Now!
Class Fee $110
Classes are 50-60 minutes long and meet once a week for 6 weeks.
Also known as “Family Pet” dog obedience
For dogs 6 to 17 months old.
Handlers learn to train their dogs using basic cues in a group situation.
Dogs are trained using a buckle collar, martingale collar or properly fitted head halter, and a four-six foot lead.
This class uses only positive training methods and positive reinforcement (no correction or punishment) and will include many training tips. You will attend WITH your dog all 6 class sessions.
Basic behaviors taught include Attention, Sit, Down, Come, Wait, Sit for Petting, Loose Leash Walking, Leave it, Stay, and more.
Maximum class size is 10 dogs; minimum class size is 4 dogs.
