SOTC loves puppies! A well-trained puppy will grow into a well-behaved adult. Our puppy classes will help give them – and you – the very best start.
Agility is a fun, fast-paced, timed sport consisting of obstacles including jumps, tunnels, weave poles and contact equipment.
From teaching tricks to reliable recalls to classes that help deepen the connection you have with your dog, you’ll find these and more at SOTC.
Whether you’re looking to teach your dog to walk nicely on a leash, reduce unwanted behaviors or train for competitive obedience, we have a class for you!
Also known as nosework, this hugely popular sport mimics the task of working detection dogs. Dogs are trained to locate several types of essential oils.
SOTC is run by dog-loving volunteers with decades of experience training dogs and teaching others to train their canine companions.
In addition to offering a wide variety of training classes, we also host multiple competitions a year in agility, obedience, rally and scentwork. We frequently host seminars by top trainers and judges.
SOTC recently launched SOTC Canine Diplomats, a program designed to provide outreach and education to the local community.
SOTC is conveniently located off I-75 in east Sarasota. You’ll find us in between State Road 64 and 70 just beyond Lakewood Ranch. We have a two-ring indoor climate controlled building and a beautiful fully-fenced lighted agility field that is outdoors on grass.
