Upcoming Scentwork Classes

Scentwork Picture of the Month

April

Your Journey into Scent Work should be a fun and interactive experience for you and your dog. Whether you just want to have fun with your dog, or you are gearing up to step into the competition world these classes will provide you with the tools necessary to proceed and succeed. We begin immediately with the introduction to odor. At this level each team will develop skills that will help them with appreciating the value of rewards, timing of rewards, building a criteria, and understanding the behavioral loop. Teams progress together, at the pace of each individual dog/handler. From The beginning Foundation level, through Novice, Intermediate, Master and Elite, and Detective, teams will continue their journey on the same day, same time for each new registered 6 week session. Unless otherwise directed by the instructor. This ensures the continuity of the learning process and helps prevent unwanted problems from occurring due to exercises above the scope of the teams skill level. The levels each team will complete throughout their journey are below * Pre-requisite of previous level or evaluation and approval by instructor) ** Pre-requisite - previous level Foundation - required by all incoming scent students Pre-Novice - * Novice - * * Intermediate ** Advanced - ** Master - ** Elite -**

CRATES ARE MANDATORY FOR ALL DOGS IN SCENT CLASSES****
